Ok, so the quilt isnt finished yet.

Tomorrow I am bringing 3 pillows to the cafe I work at. They have a sweet little showcase in the entrance and have said I can display my pieces there if I want to! Woo Hooo! It will be the first time I will be showing them in public, on display. (Other than on Etsy)... One of the regulars said he might be interested in the the yellow set!
That would be A1 since I am really broke and dont have any funds for Christmas presents...

In other good news, a friend called me up and said he would be needing my stylist skills soon, which also means extra gift money for Christmas. Bonus, I get to brush up on fashion a bit without the annoyance of a 9-5 job. :) I am pretty excited about that!

Here is a photo of Wil and I on the greyhound going to Ottawa for his solo show. What an awesome round up of great work.
For more info on the show check out www.wilmurray.com it's in Ottawa, Canada.

and a random photo of a man at the bus station...

Oh and I wanted to say thanks to all the readers of Moose Project for their friendly kick in the arse. I needed a wee shove to get back to it. Thanks ladies. :)

I've decorated

for Christmas.

HAVE YOU?!?!?!

Pictures to come soon!

P.S. Moose Love You and want you to take them home with you this festive season.

Sunday Sunshine

Hey everyone,

So the whole quitting your job for a passion thing is pretty rad. The reason I make these things is because I want to make something that people will hold tight, love and maybe even slobber on while taking naps. My whole life I've adored the things my mother made for me and my two sisters. I want to bring that home made lovability to the world and show them that the real precious objects in this life we live are things that shine threw and stand out from the ordinary. It's ok to be different, and that is what I am trying to prove. The difference is, these pieces are made by someone who wants to be making them.

If any of you have anything special in mind, let me know. I'd love to make a custom order.

Show some love, support MOOSE PROJECT.

He's absolutely stunning.

Trick or Treat!!! you can also just say MEOW!

Hello All,

I convinced Wil to let me draw a nose and whiskers onto his face and dress up in black, just like me. We were cats..
We gave out a huge bold of candy. At one point there was even a line up of kids outside our door.. It was all too funny..

Me and Wil gave out treats dressed up as Cats!

The extensive line up outside our door!!!! We obviously had the best treats on the block!

I know I had promised to post my new pillow yesterday but I couldn't for the likes of me get good shots of it..
so I am off to find a good location for pillow pictures.
I will post them later..

Again with the late nights.

Hey There!

So yeah, today got my pretty excited. Lots of coverage, and an extra lil hooray my way never hurt anyone.
I've been listening to alot of Julie Doiron lately. Hence my whimsical moose mobile.
Get ready for more, and different varieties. I'm so lucky I live on a street covered in giant old maple tree's.

I bet your thinking I cut branches off for my crafts. WRONG. I find them. People trim their tree's, and like a tiny squirrel, I snag all the wee branches left to sit there in the rain. I rescue these twigs in a way, from a life of joining the garbage pit of doom.

Moose Project cares for all those unwanted twigs, and brings them a new life. One filled with people like you and I ooing and ahhhing.

Here are some snap shots into my life at night.

Oh and a funny one of a moose I made getting free ride from my work horse.. piff.. the debauchery.

ETSY FRONT PAGE!!!!!!

Oh oh OH MY GOD! IM ON THE FRONT PAGE OF ETSY!!!!!!!!
HOW AMAZING IS THAT!!

:)

and I posted my mobile..

Late nights..

Ok, so it's late but I just had to show everyone my 6th moose front. This might just be my fav, since it's moving into a new style and made me think up a gazillion other pillows..
Here is a sneak peak at the very primitive stage of one of my pillows.
YAY! Moose Project!

Oh and I also baked up some muffins using extra left over baked pumpkin from the pie I made for Erin and Gav's thanksgiving party! Pumpkin, carrots, orange zest... yum..

I just got these great stamps, I love the font. It will make for adorable tags. Can't wait!

Thanks for reading,

happy happy thanksgiving!!!!

Today, Wil and I went to Le Marche DeMaisonneuve, it was awesome. So awesome in fact, that we brought home two huge pumpkins.. They were quite heavy to be carrying home about 12 blocks. We did it and now our fall look is complete.. tee hee..

OOhhh I cant wait to post pictures of the pillows once they are complete. I've just been working on the slips, the most creative part. Once I've finished at least 10, I will stuff them all at the same time. I am getting support from all over the place. I want to finish a whole bunch so people can offer them as Christmas presents. MOOSE PILLOWS make for wicked good Christmas presents!!!! Yay... back to work so you can all get a look..

Happy Thanksgiving!

Last day at the office.

So today is my last day. It fills me with a strange brew of worry, sadness and excitement. My bosses are really nice people and I sorta feel like I'm letting them down by leaving. They are encouraging and tell me to pursue my dreams, they bought me lunch yesterday and sent out a letter to all people involved in the company, thanking me for my hard work a dedication. I feel humbled by that. I'm glad I am leaving on such a positive note. Yet the loyal employee in me can't help but feel a lil disappointed that I am letting them down. Everyone has been nothing but supportive, and for that I would like to thank them. Whoever they employ next will be lucky to have run into these people. They are warm, caring and hard working.

Thank you Trendsition Group, for all you have taught me in business. I wont forget!
THANK YOU!

Spending time with moose thoughts.

I've been sewing and stitching alot and it's been good. Wil is gone this week-end so I get the place to myself, which is also good. I get to dance around and sew until 4am.

Me and Heidi are going to a church sale this afternoon, I'm mostly checking for fun detail stuff and maybe a winter coat. BRRRRR it's cold out.. Winter is definitely on it's way.
This week is my last week of work at the office. I'm pretty pumped to be working on MOOSE PROJECT full time!!!! My hands will be a wreck and my heart will be warm. I'm really nervous when it comes to peoples reactions to my work.. Telling people at the bar last night that I am quitting my job for MOOSE PROJECT was a bit tense. They gave me a "are you serious" look. Meh... I know I can try to do it. And I know someone out there will see how much love, time and thought is put into each piece I create.
My next moose will be farting hearts. It's gonna be awesome! haha

Thanks for reading.

FABRICS ARE IN!

I experienced the  sheer excitement of opening my box from
reprodepot tonight. YAY! So many colours and shapes to play with. I have 3 pillows and moose project decals in mind already.
I've worked really hard and finally finished my stitching of a moose and a tree. These pieces will be turned into pillows. For now, I am sharing images of what you get when I pull off hours of stitching.

Enjoy the images and feel free to throw any feed back my way! I'd love to hear from you.

MOOSE PROJECT - Sneak peaks

I've been hard at work in my teeny studio today. The sun was shining and I thought, "what a great opportunity to take pictures of what I am working on. Here is a glimpse of some vintage fabrics I have been working with.

Yesterday was filled with a grandiose breakfast and thrift store shopping with Heidi from home baked. I found this beautiful horse standing there alone in the electronics department. Heidi and I discussed whe
ther or not I really needed such a thing. But it was just so fun, I couldn't leave it behind. Now it keeps me company while I stitch away at my pillows.
