Chocolate chip cookies

The night before last I made the same chocolate chip cookies I've been making for two months now. I changed one thing, I shaped them differently on to the cookie sheet. I rolled them into mid sized balls and flattened them a bit. OH MY GOD! Heavenly. More than heavenly, I ate about 6 since. Ouff. I usually have a strict rule of not eating more than one cookie when making a batch. I'm sure I put on 5 pounds. I will go back to my rule. Let me tell you one more thing. I didn't sell any of these. Instead I gave them to friends and kept a bunch for myself.Muahahaha :)

I also played Christmas music at work tonight and everyone in the cafe smiled. I feel like I am filled with tons of good energy and even if I've pounded on a few pounds since I've started this cookie project, it's made my life better. I make people smile every single day. Best part, since I sell them at the cafe I get to see the smiles directly.

Picking up on aesthetic.

I saw a gorgeous movie that showcases Canada with such a beautiful story. One Week.
I know, when I first heard about this movie I thought... meh, it looks really cheesy.
But the story touched me so much since I had a scare with cancer in my early twenties.
It's beautifu sentimental and honest.
The main character takes a road trip from Toronto to BC.

They shot a few scenes in the Rockies around Kananaskis.
He goes riding too with this woman in the prairies.
And they even show the big nickel in Sudbury.


P.S. I also think this bedroom is dreamy.

It's my birthday in 10 days mother fuckers!

Yup. I can't wait to be 26. 25 was a total waste of a year, time, money, energy and my love. I am putting it and all the negativity that came with it behind me. Fuck it. 26 is the new cool.

It's gonna be more than spectacular. I can feel it.

I'm gonna spend this year focusing on my art making, music making and myself.

I'm thinking of adopting a kitten from a local shelter.

Haute Couture

I was offered a position at Rush Couture and have decided to take the opportunity.
I had worked there 2 yrs ago for a duration of 5 years. I've had a break and now I am ready and needy of this chance.
Rush Couture was one of the best jobs and most personal jobs I have ever had so I am happy to return.
Claudette Floyd is one of the strongest women I know and I'm just so excited to be around her again.
She fills me with inspiration and I really think that's what I need at this point in my life.

a hat revamped

So this lady at work had asked me to replace the strings on her hat..
one of them had fallen off.. the hat is so beautiful that I could not resist the opportunity to be creative with something someone already loves.

I braided a bunch of strings made of cotton and added a leather button.

Moose Project where are you???

Many changes

So many changes have been in place lately so I am taking the time to regain focus.

I have a plan.

Make pieces that actually incorporate animals and maybe even real moose.

I am going to be asking my dad if he can get moose skins for me.

I am so stoked, my mom and dad are coming down to visit this weekend and my dad will be bringing a set of real caribou antlers which I will be hanging from my ceiling. Supposedly my dad has already built the support for the ceiling.

FUCKING AMAZING!

The book matches.

So the book I am reading today matches with my outfit! AHAHAHAH

It "AN UNQUIET MIND" by Kay Redfield Jamison", is a really great look into mental illness by someone who writes of it in a very unique and eloquent way., mostly from her own experiences.

But I'm only at Chapter 2.

Moving on Sunday.

So I will be moving into my new apt on Sunday afternoon! I am so so so excited. I have my keys and saw the place yesterday.
The landlord is amazing, he repainted everything just like he said he would. He is even cleaning up the basement for me! I was so happy that I gave him a hug! hehe..

I also have a new friend who knows how to silk screen and I asked him last night if he would show me how.

I'd love to make Moose Project T-Shirts and undies. Whatcha think? Would you buy one?

Oh and the best part is that the landlord painted the place a very very light pink!

Sunday couldnt come soon enough.

Once again My love for you is a stampede of horses introduced her work to me.

This woman incorporates quilting with taxidermy.

My jaw has just hit the floor.
I think I may have found my new fav artist!
Her concept is real and honest and I totally connect with her inspiration.

Feeling calm and comfortable

So I woke up slowly and drank coffee listening to the sadies and packed alot.
Then I went skating alone. Skating has been helping me focus and feel alive again.

I came home after a long walk and made myself a great meal.

I havent cooked a great meal for myself in a really long time.. I forgot how much I enjoy cooking..

I guess I am feeling less sad and possibly more liberated.

I am proud and happy with myself.

Ok so I found a great apartment and now it's down to me and some 40 yr old man. I need all of you to hope, pray & wish that I will get this place. It is perfect for me.

Packing

It is both scary and promising. I've never actually lived on my own in my own apartment. I've always had roommates. This is a new direction and I think in the end will make me stronger.

I am opening a new door and hoping it will be a successful one.

I've also realized I own a lot of party dresses.
